There is just something about fresh flowers to brighten up a house.  

It is a long weekend coming up in Adelaide and to herald it, 

a bunch of pretty yellow tulips seems just right.

I like to put yellow tulips in a blue delft vase that my in-laws bought when 

they were living in The Hague many years ago.  

And of course a bunch for my bestie.

Flowers to brighten the house

Nothing brightens the house up like fresh flowers.  It is especially nice after the weekly clean!  I like to think of it as a work out.

We are lucky to live around the corner from a lovely florist.

This is my idea of eye candy.

Next weekend will be one of the busiest days of the year for florists with 

Mother's day on Sunday 11th of May.
