This place is definitely one for the Francophiles. I had breakfast here a couple of weeks ago with a friend. The coffee is very good.
The cafe is in one of the old East End Market shopfronts on Grenfell Street.
It tries very hard to be very French.
They offer a large selection of crepes, from the sweet to the savoury.
Or you could always order a tart.
You'll find Le Carpe diem at 230 Grenfell Street in the city. It is open from 8am to 5pm Wednesday and Thursday, 8am to midnight on Friday and Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sunday. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
